Bach Ma National Park Trekking Tour from Hue – 1 Day

Morning – Departure & Beginning of the Journey

8:00–8:30 AM: Depart from Hue for Bach Ma National Park.

The journey begins at the Bach Ma National Park Exhibition House, where visitors can learn about the park’s pristine rainforest ecosystem, rare flora and fauna, and the history of Bach Ma – a lush green mountain range between Hue and Da Nang.

• At the Exhibition House, your guide will introduce interesting facts about hundreds of rare plant species, including some found only in Bach Ma, as well as the history of the French-era resort area. Once a famous mountain retreat, Bach Ma was often referred to as the “Da Lat of the former imperial capital.”

• Exhibits, photographs, and wildlife specimens provide a deeper understanding of Bach Ma’s unique ecosystem, offering a fascinating introduction to the natural world of the park.

• Continue by vehicle to Km12, the point where the road journey connects with the mountain route. Here, guests transfer to specialized park motorbikes driven by park rangers or tour guides for the next section of the journey.

• Continue to Hai Vong Dai (Sea Observation Post). After stopping at the parking area, begin a short 1-km walking trail to reach the summit. Located at an elevation of approximately 1,450 meters, Hai Vong Dai offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and coastline. On clear days, you may be able to see Canh Duong Beach, Tam Giang Lagoon, and Cau Hai Lagoon, creating an impressive natural panorama.

Midday – Immerse Yourself in Bach Ma’s Pristine Forest

Continue the trekking route to Five Lakes (Ngu Ho), a series of five natural pools connected by cascading streams. With crystal-clear, cool water surrounded by lush rainforest, this is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Bach Ma.

• Feel the refreshing mountain water, listen to the gentle sound of flowing streams, and immerse yourself in the pristine surroundings of Bach Ma National Park. Depending on conditions, guests can swim in the cool natural pools, relax by the water, or simply enjoy the scenery.

• After exploring Five Lakes, take a break and enjoy lunch and light refreshments surrounded by the forest, making the most of the cool and peaceful atmosphere.

• From Five Lakes, continue trekking through the rainforest toward the top of Do Quyen Waterfall, a spectacular waterfall cascading more than 300 meters down the mountainside. The trail features several winding and uphill sections, rewarding you with beautiful views along the way.

• During spring, the surrounding trails may be decorated with blooming rhododendron flowers, adding vibrant colors to the mountain landscape and creating a particularly beautiful atmosphere.

Afternoon – A Farewell to Bach Ma

After some time to rest, retrace the trail to the motorbike pick-up point. The journey then continues back toward Km12, passing through lush forest, gentle slopes, and refreshing mountain air – a peaceful farewell from Bach Ma.

At Km12, the private vehicle will pick up the group and transfer everyone back to the original departure point.

Expected arrival in Hue: around 5:30 PM.
